Merritt’s parents, Lillian and Marcus Marsden (Lady and Lord Westcliff), show up unexpectedly. What did you make of how Lillian handled catching Merritt and Keir in bed? Sebastian’s reaction when told that Lillian was moving about the house looking for Merritt?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments I loved it and laughed out loud. Lillian did a good job not embarrassing Merritt or Keir. She knows what it is like to be enamored of someone.

Sebastian was funny too. He didn't want the Westcliffs to think badly of him. He knew what was going on and tried to catch Lillian before she caught them. Everything after the Westcliffs arrived made me laugh or think aww, how sweet.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Sebastian's reaction to Lillian looking around the house for her daughter was hilarious. He wanted someone to stop her before she actually found Merritt and Keir together.

Lillian handled it well. She remembers her own love for Marcus and understands Merritt's feelings for Keir.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments It was so embarrassing, for Keir and Merritt and me listening to this scene and bursting out laughing in the checkout line! I think Lillian was shocked, but relieved that her daughter had found someone she was willing to break all the rules for.

Sebastian was so funny! He was already not one of Lillian's favorite people and now her daughter was well than thoroughly compromised under his roof by his son.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I always loved Lillian! She was true to her personality of privately being shocked (I'm sure) but giving her daughter all her support. Another fantastic scene!

This was absolutely hilarious and I laughed out loud, too, Anita, but I was at home. I loved how Lillian handled it but the downstairs shenanigans was even funnier after Sebastian learned she was “roaming about the house.”

It was a surprise to learn that Lillian and Sebastian had never really bonded after what he’d done to her, just an agreed upon civility over the years. It was nice that this moment created the opening for them to true friends.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments I remembered Lillian's Wallflowers book and Sebastain was a real nasty person. I'm not at all surprised that Sebastian and Lillian only had a civility-based relationship after that and probably only because Marcus and Sebastian were best friends and Lillian and Evie were friends and they didn't want to strain those relationships.

Yeah, even I didn’t think I could forgive him.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1811 comments Lol! That was hilarious!

It was good to finally get closure to Sebastian and Lillian's past. Kudos to them both for putting it aside for so many years for the sake of the spouses.
