As Keir is leaving to return to London, he finds his and Merritt’s typewritten names in his wallet and a flood of memories returns. Why do you think that slip of paper was so meaningful to him? Were you surprised he returned immediately to be with her or was that expected once his memories returned?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments The scene with the typewriter was a fond first memory with Merritt. Both names side by side on the paper made him think he wanted them side by side forever.

I was surprised he jumped off the train, but I loved it. It gave me a good feeling that he wouldn't leave without letting Merritt knows that he remembers how important she is to him.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I also loved that Keir jumped off of the train. He needed to see her immediately to tell her that he remembered her and loved her.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I agree with Sharon about the typewritten names. I loved the timing of the return of Keir's memory and that he chose to go back to Merritt. I wasn't sure he would, but I think that he was falling in love with her again before his memory returned and with his memory back, he knew they had shared a special time and love.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I really loved this scene. As soon as he saw that paper, it was a trigger to regain his memory of her. And jumping off the train was perfect!

I loved the scene, too. I’d thought him keeping that typewritten note meant something to him and obviously he did. I was surprised he ran back to her when his memory returned but then I recalled the intensity of his feelings for Merritt at the time of the fire. Then it made sense.
