One attack is a coincidence. The second attack means Keir is in trouble. Someone wants him dead. I'm not a big fan of amnesia tropes, but Kleypas did an excellent job convincing me. I knew he would remember; I was waiting for the trigger.
When the building he was staying in is on fire and someone removed the door handles, I can safely say someone wanted him dead. Like Sharon, I knew Keir would eventually regain his memory and remember his night with Merritt.
I kept wondering why someone wanted him dead and his company's profits destroyed. I wasn't surprised he ended up with amnesia and, like Sharon I agree that Kleypas picked just the right moment for him to regain his memory.
He was definitely targeted. I agree. Two times is definitely no coincidence. I wasn't surprised he had amnesia and liked the way he got his memory back.
Everything about this attack was targeted and personal. Keir barely got out of there alive.
I’m not a fan of amnesia storylines either so I was deeply disappointed when Keir lost his memory. But! Kleypas handled it so well and there wasn’t any of that usual stuff that draws out the inevitable. I even liked how she triggered his memory.

I actually do enjoy a good amnesia storyline. Nevertheless, I was not expecting it here and kind of felt sorry for Merritt that he didn't remember her or their night together. That said, Kleypas really incorporated it well into the storyline and it actually ended up enhancing the romance as they get to know each other even better and fall in love all over again.
