Keir spends the night with Merritt, just one day after meeting her. Were you surprised or did you see it coming? Realistic or fantasy?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments I wasn't surprised. Today it is realistic, although more of a fantasy for the time. I'm guessing. However, women did enjoy discreet affairs at the time.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I could see that coming as soon as she invited him to dinner. It was a bit unrealistic (for the time) after only knowing him one night. I thought Merritt would have got to know him a little more before jumping into bed.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments I agree with Robin, but I was a little surprised. I didn't think that Merritt would be that impetuous.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I saw it coming also. I thought that she was a widow so she might be a bit more willing to do exactly what she wanted.

At first I was surprised but then remembered that society rules were very different for widows, as long as they were discreet. Still, one day was pretty fast.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1810 comments Not at all surprised. Their attraction was so intense.

Yes, widows were given a lot more freedom as long as they were discreet.
