Keir is attacked on his way to Merritt’s home for dinner. Did you think it was random at the time or that Keir was the target?

The first time I thought he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I felt he took the time to dress up for Merritt, and a thief thought he was a good mark.

Same here. I thought he was being mugged while on his way to Merritt's house.

This first time, I agree. I thought he was just being mugged too.

With the way things had gone wrong for Keir and his shipment, I was leaning that he was a target.

I thought the shipment problem was because the hired long shoremen miss-handled the cargo.

It that was the case then Keir has the absolute worst case of bad luck. But then, I'm a Romantic-Suspense reader and I look for the sinister everywhere.

I thought it was random until he was examined by Garrett and she described the attack as professional. Then I started thinking otherwise and began making the connection back to Sebastian’s reaction. Still wasn’t thinking he was his son but was someone being hunted for a specific reason.

I also didn't think the attack was random, but did not know who could be behind it.
