Team, I think that there are several people who have read or are reading this book. In preparation for our November Reading can someone propose a "weekly breakdown" of the chapters we should plan on reading to finish before the release date of Druid's call? I feel like we should have plenty of time and can likely spend 8 weeks on Empire of Exiles, but others may want to plan on a faster read because of the holidays and what not.

Jonn (sleypy) | 54 comments 8 weeks works better for you.

Excellent--the book is 18 chapters & I vote we do two chapters a week.

Does that work for everyone?

So this week we will be discussing chapters one and two

I'm reposting this a few places to get more readers here. Do you want me to participate or bow out so you can discuss more freely?

I think we **need** you to participate! Having the author here will make the conversation infinitely better, in my opinion!

Lidiya | 16 comments I'm hardly an active participant, but I always enjoy hearing what Erin has to say about her works. If I have a vote, I vote she does not bow out. :)

Justin (berliad) | 128 comments Ok, book copy purchased! I'll get reading tonight. Hope I can keep up because I'm notoriously slow.

Michael | 24 comments Hi, just a general question about chapter threads. How is guessing at things looked upon? I only read up to chapter 3 (I found 2 impossible to stop at), but midway though 2 I went "o, I think I know something". It's just a guess, and honestly might be more obvious than I think it is (There are sometimes things in books that I don't figure out till the end, but were super obvious for nearly the entire time (I have a specific Pratchett book in mind here..))

But I guess I'm worried I'm going to "spoil" something, which I also don't really know if it's correct anyway.

Jonn (sleypy) | 54 comments I would love for you to participate if your interested. Your just insight was the best part of our previous book discussions. I would completely understand if you need to preserve your spoons and can't do every book club discussion.

message 10: by Lidiya (new)

Lidiya | 16 comments In the past, wasn't there a separate discussion for people who binge read / are OK with spoilers?

message 11: by Erin (new)

Erin Evans (erinmevans) | 199 comments Mod
IIRC we had separate threads for sections and then one to catch people who read to the end.

But about that: I can't seem to make any threads? Or maybe see any threads? Does anyone know how to fix that?

message 12: by Justin (new)

Justin (berliad) | 128 comments If we're ready, I think I see a button to create a new topic on my end. I'm not quite ready to join (in ch1), but I could create it if that would be helpful. And also a "I have no control and read the whole thing already" topic. :)

That would be great. I was trying to post the worldbuilding info I had up on Twitter but it kept vanishing. :/

message 14: by Michael (new)

Michael | 24 comments I wonder if we can contact an admin to open up the ability to make topics. So far I've been holding off reading to keep on pace with this, not sure how long my resolve will last though.
