I'll start.
My name is Lindsey Michael Miller. I published an illustrated children's book in 2005 called The Circus. Currently, I live in NYC and work as a marketing producer for an online advertising agency. I'm married to my beautiful wife Elizabeth who's a visual artist. On the side, I'm currently writing a book I'm very excited about, and I read and review a young adult or middle reader book every three days on my website www.lindseyslibrary.com. I moderate two book clubs, one here and one on facebook.
I hope you enjoy the group!

The name's Camille and practically everything is on my main profile. The short of it is I'm a business and law student with a passion for reading (although textbooks don't count as pleasurable reading material!) and art. Mainly into the romance genre which arguably pervades all genres so if it has an element of romance in it likely I'll want to read it.
Also I'm animal lover, having many cats and almost as many dogs (let's say more than 3 of each!) but alas, no matter my vehement stance against animal cruelty there is just no possible way for me to be a vegetarian XD I do try to be one at least one day a week :)
Anyway, I'll try to be active (crosses fingers and toes) and would to make new friends :D
Cheers!

Thanks Jessica, and welcome. Have you voted on the book that you want to read for November yet? There's a poll available.

Lindsey, you mentioned a group on FB as well? Can you give info for us to join in that one also or is it exclusive?
Please check out my blog to see some of the great books I've recently read! (www.molcotw.blogspot.com)
Looking forward to more great reading!
Julie
Welcome Julie. You do sound like you must be an exhausted individual. The FB Group isn't exclusive, it's just that they vote on the same 6 books. However, neither group has yet voted for the same book.

I dont have eny degree but Im trying to get my GED at the moment and i want to work in a library soon. Dont know when though.

My name is Mel and I am the librarian at a youth detention center in Colorado. I am always looking for new books to recommend to the residents here, and am looking forward to participating in this group!

Thanks to Lindsey for inviting me to join the group. I live in eastern Tennessee right at the edge of the Smoky Mountains. I'm an elementary school librarian - love my job but sometimes wish I worked with older kids because there are so many great YA books. I read across a lot of genres but try to keep up with what is happening in the YA lit world. Hopefully, this group will help me with that.
Susan
Welcome Susan. As an official reviewer for several publishing companies, I'm usually pretty dialed in to what's going on in the YA lit world. Feel free to ask me anything you're curious about.

I'm a K-5 librarian for about 1,050 students in East Tennessee--2.5 years at elementary and 1/2 a year at a high school. I love both (though could do without school politics). This isn't my first career, but I believe it's where I'm meant to be considering what a book worm I've always been. I have a blog that I don't update often enough:
http://thebookdragon.blogspot.com/
My favorite reads lately are urban fantasy and mystery--and I prefer books with humor--even if it's dark humor--to ones that are bleak.
Welcome Nely. We're reading Eon right now. You can wait until next month, though, if you want to join us for The Poison Study.
