When I go to the pages for the Graphic Audio versions of the Kate Daniels series, I get a message that they have been removed from the GR catalogue because it does not meet catalogue guidelines. None of the other Graphic Audios have been removed, just the Kate Daniels ones. I looked up the guidelines and I can't see why they wouldn't meet them. Could someone please reinstate them?

Kendra, right now in the GR librarian’s group they are saying graphic audios are not allowed. Some are asking for official clarification, since the manual doesn’t say anything either way. Hopefully, with more books also having graphic audios they will be official, but until then it is probably going to be a delete/add back and forth.

I’m not a GR librarian. I just keep an eye on that group so I know what crazy stuff, bots, policies etc are taking place. I’ve started tracking my books on StoryGraph since GR is becoming more and more unreliable.

I'm reading a book for ATY 2025. It's an old book, hardly available on Amazon. It's a Swedish book from 1983, from a small publishing company. There are other books by this author on Goodreads, from the same publisher. The publishing company is now incorporated into a much larger publishing company but I doubt they will have photos of old book covers.

It's a pity that every book has to be found on Amazon! That means that old books and books from all over the world won't be possible to add. How can books by this author be on Goodreads at all - several of his books are to be found here, I don't get it.

Or is there any possibility at all to add the book I'm reading even if it's without a picture of the cover?

A book doesn't have to be on Amazon to be added here are the acceptable sources for Sweden

I'd prefer help from a librarian in this group though, it takes ages asking a GR librarian for help. Last year I got efficient and rapid help asking a librarian in this group to add books I was reading for the challenges. Then I had already been waiting seven or eight months I believe in the GR Librarians group. But it took less than two hours when I asked a librarian here.

But thank you for the links, I had forgotten totally about those. They didn't have the cover though but the book is there, so I'm very grateful (⁠◕⁠ᴗ⁠◕⁠✿⁠)
