Del confirms that the Feds never received their report and, after confronting Moss, knew they never would. If Del pushed to include the harbormaster’ s full statement, Del would be the one implicated in the coverup. It all ended there. Did Del have any other options?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I never would have confronted Moss about the fact that the Feds would never receive the report. I would have attempted to gather more evidence since it seems like Moss and his group have blackmailed several drug deals, many of which are now in prison. Of course, at this point Del didn't know that he had been set up to be implicated in the coverup.

Since he now knows that he would be the one to go down if he said anything, it would be smart of him to keep his mouth shut until something else happens. These guys aren't going to stop what they're doing.

~Melissa~ | 429 comments I thought Del jumped the gun with confronting Moss. Granted he wouldn't have known that there were 2 files if he hadn't but he could've kept investigating. See if he was able to dig up any proof. The confrontation blew up in Del's face and ended pretty much everything for Del.

It turned out to be a good thing that Del confronted Moss. If he’d gone forward, Moss would have presented a copy of his report that included that information and claimed Del omitted it. Del would not only be in trouble but being the new guy up against Moss, the respected veteran, he’d have been shunned by the department. His career would be over before it started. Confronting Moss allowed him to gauge Moss’s reaction, which I think would have been the right thing to do. If he hadn’t, the repercussions would have been worse.

Moss was slick and skillful. He anticipated Del figuring stuff out. There was nothing else for Del to continue investigating. His next step would be to confront Moss or go above his head. Thank goodness he didn’t do that.

I couldn't believe Moss had done all this and Del never saw it coming until it was too late. His hands were tied up and there was no recourse left for him at this point in time. This scene had me screaming at Moss - the dirty stinking rat. lol But I thought - just give it time. He'll eventually get his. I hoped!

I wanted to punch him.

lol - I had some choice words for him while driving :)

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments I was kicking Moss too. There wasn't anything that Del could do at the time, although I did think he waited too long to try and clear things up.
