I actually read this book earlier this year for another book club and liked it so much and learned enough that I thought it would be good for this group as well. I didn't now much about Alexander von Humboldt except that lots of places are named after him. He was a naturalist, explorer, and geographer and he traveled all over and influenced many other well known scientists/naturalists. I learned a lot and I hope you do too! Let me know what you think!
