Victoria Araya (vikapedia) | 10 comments The ballad of black Tom by Victor LaValle. I choose Lovecraftian lit.

Amy | 50 comments I read Layla by Colleen Hoover. It's definitely one of my least favorite of hers, but I'm down to only a few prompts left, and this didn't fit anything, so may as well still count towards the challenge.

Aquaria | 288 comments St Peters Fair by Ellis Peters. I had the entire series to read, so it was perfect for this "gimme" slot.

Anna Moore (annamo_85) | 116 comments I used a children's book and read One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish by Dr. Seuss.

Kerri | 159 comments I am using Weyward by Emilia Hart for this prompt. I suspect others will argue that this would fit High Fantasy or a Survival Story, and I considered both but decided to stay with the books I had already selected for those categories. Weyward feels more mystical than fantasy, and as much as it has been described as a story of hope, I have to disagree. So... here it lands.

Angele Gemme | 27 comments Deception Cove by Owen Laukkanen

message 60: by Denise (new)

Denise | 559 comments I read Yellowface by R. F. Kuang. It doesn't fit any of the prompts I still have open...comedian, O. Butler, Newbery, Dublin, or last in a series

message 61: by Sandy (new)

Sandy | 71 comments A Mic for All Seasons by Kenny Albert

message 62: by Kim (new)

Kim Hampton | 266 comments The Mystery of the Hidden Painting by Gertrude Chandler Warner. I literally spent the whole year trying to find a book that truly didn't fit any of the other prompts, but I didn't have any luck, so this is the last book I read this year and I had already covered all of the prompts.
