I enjoyed the novel as an intriguing beach mystery!

I think the author sets the creepy tone right away! I find the short alternating timeframe chapters & POVs, too short. My head feels like it is trying to follow a ping-pong match. I'd prefer to spend a longer time in each era before changing.

I just finished listening to The Sun-Down Motel. Viv's story surprised me; Carly's story ... not so much.

Viv's story surprised you in what way? Did anything in Carly's story surprise you? What about Callum? And perhaps those answers are better placed in the spoiler thread.

I intended to read 2 chapters, out of curiosity, and then continue the Agatha Christie book. But I realized that I had already read several chapters Viv and Carly. I returned now and then I leave my final considerations for topic with spolers. The story is easy to read and the description of the characters is not very deep leaving us focused on the two main characters.

I needed some time to finish this book, I just wasn't in a right mood for it. But I enjoyed the whole experience in the end.
