Sounds intriguing. The mind conjures all kinds of mysteries about Keir. We've not seen either Keir or Merritt before, have we? I wonder if Keir is another of Edmund Ravenel's children.

I finished this one and have to agree, Phrynne. Loved it.

Keir is Sebastian’s illegitimate son, sired before he met Evie and his existence unknown to him until a year ago.
Lady Cordelia’s husband sent assassins out to kill Keir to avoid him making claim to Cordelia’s trust and being first in line to his title. Lord Ormonde was killed by one of the assassins after he fired him for failing to kill Keir, refusing to pay him.
Keir and Merritt marry with plans to build a bigger house in Scotland and hire managers for his titled estate. Merritt is also pregnant. (hide spoiler)]
