Kevin Ramos | 7 comments I feel like this book tries to teach not to say yes to everything because it can lead to something you don't want or you agree with , In this scenario , the kid believed the old man and went down with him to the room to read , and it turned out that he has to stay there for a month and memorize the book.

Firstly, Atticus is teaching Scout that responding to violence with more violence never achieves anything: two wrongs don't make a right. And secondly, the only way to stop a bully is to let what they say slide over you.

Brandon | 7 comments The raven and other poems - Edgar Allan Poe
This book consists of a lot of poems that are somewhat difficult to understand because of the diction but they all teach you about life and suffering and all emotions. In one of the poems called "To Helen" the author expresses his love for this lady and how he sees her. The short poem taught me how far admiration can really go because in the poem the author expressed that she even brought him to feel like he was back home in greece. The poem was able to teach me this by using very few but very descriptive words.

Angel Fabian | 7 comments what I feel like this book tries to teach you is like you to live by your word. like if you say your going to do something you should make yourself proud and do what you said you were going to. I feel like this really helps because its all in the brain if your saying your stupid your brain is going to shutdown on you and your going to believe yourself. that's why thus book teaches like positivity and like what agreements people should live by.

The story kingdom of ashes speaks on mostly fiction but so far its spoken about loyalty. Although so far its been fantasy and imaginary things it teaches the value of allegiance. It teaches it through two characters sticking together to run away from something.

This book talks more about war and the desire from each person. But also that you cant teake for things in granted in life. Finally you have to move on forward and dont look back and learn from your mistake.

Aaron | 5 comments This book teaches about life how these two kids were living in the trenches and was introduced into the gang life. He would see shootings, beatings, arrests, streets claimed by friends and family members. It talks about how he saw lots of crimes committed and many people can relate to that.

Fernando | 8 comments the threat of death is more violent and intense than in a mystery Rarely is just one person killed. the murderer is not a sly intellectual or a calculation criminal bus a demented is not man who kills for pleasure is at times irrational and hides in cellars and basements.

Alexis | 8 comments The Parson's Flat was bigger than Winston's and dingy in a different way. There was a trampling of boots and another blast on the comb as the Children charged into the living room. And The Sun had shifted round, and the myriad windows of the Ministry of Truth.

message 15: by Alejandro (new)

Alejandro | 2 comments this book took about of what I understood is that like every year they expect a family celebration where things happen but sometimes they end badly but they have to respect certain rules and this time they did not respect the rules and they will have problems.

Cris Loya | 8 comments Fun Home: A Family TragicomicI feel like the book teaches about hiding your emotions and death and the results of all of it. Showing how the father suppressed and rarely showed his true self and showing it through the eyes of his daughter
