I’m the not-super-smart-kid in my family, one of my siblings is getting her masters in business, another is studying Radiology, and idk what the last is doing but he finished all his maths in high school... meanwhile I’m in 10th grade doing 9th grade math and getting excited over getting 60% ok tests and quizzes 💀

it's weird because as a kid it was so much easier to get better grades and now as teens it's so hard and the pressure is impossible to keep up with it's like everyone is competing for the better grade and we all want academic validation it feels soo good seeing an A on a test or assignments but nothing feels worse than failure and no matter how many times you tell yourself your gonna study harder this time you never seem to find the motivation for it
