I use wordpress. It's pretty easy once the software is installed.

Agreed! My publisher also used WordPress. They built their site using that tool:https://www.1iR3publishers.com
I also have a WordPress site, but hosted on my neighbour's server. I really liked the older version of WordPress, but am gradually learning the new one. I did a couple of short web/HTML courses before I had the site, so I had a good idea of what I wanted from the site. Basically you need to show off your writing, and make it available to buy on the site, but I also use my site as a companion to my books, with information about the universe I write in. The site was put together for me in about ten minutes by my neighbour's son, who then worked for his dad in their web services company, using materials I'd already created. Hope this helps <3
Hello everyone. I used Wordpress to build my author website dnacuff.com - my site is hosted by Bluehost, a combination that I've found works well together.
I host through a place called 123ehost. They're a Canadian company. I use Wordpress software with the Hestia theme.
