Javi Hervías (kintsugi_) | 53 comments Hi
There's a request to add a book with this ISBN 9771122541009 , but that one is in this book Passione Irlandese they are from the same publisher but different books, maybe a recycled ISBN. However the new book has pictures with this isbn printed in the back

Can you help me to add the new book with the duplicate ISBN? please

thanks

Dobby (dobby0390) | 7858 comments Hi Javi. Unfortunately, the system wouldn't allow me to use the Add a Duplicate ISBN Edition option due to a bug that didn't recognize the 977 prefix on the ISBN. I have reported this as a bug, and I included links to the OP and this topic.

I would suggest adding the book as you normally would, omitting the ISBN from the ISBN field. Add a Librarian Note and repeat it in the description:
ISBN 9771122541009 was also used for [link to: goodreads.com/book/show/58712966-l-ul...].
Then put the same note in the original edition, linking to the new edition you've created.

If it starts with 977, it is not an ISBN. It is probably an ISSN.

Dobby (dobby0390) | 7858 comments It's an Italian Harlequin-published book; does that make a difference? You can see front/back images here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

I am not saying it's not a valid book. Just that it's not a valid ISBN.

To clarify: There are valid ISBN10s that start 977. There are no valid ISBN13s that start 977.
