Martin Riexinger | 254 comments Hi,
I wanted to rate a book, but discovered that it was not yet on Goodreads. I wanted to add it, but there seems to be no more "add a book" function (at least I found no link), only an "import books" function.

The book topic is only chose pro forma (closest resembling title) to make it possible to post.

Emily | 17533 comments Members can no longer add books. You do not have to put anything in the book title section when you post in this group, even if it looks like you are supposed to. Here is the template for requesting a book to be added.

Martin Riexinger | 254 comments Well, that's not nice. Is there a reason for that?

Jason (jasondenness) | 11 comments Adding a book there doesn't seem to do anything, posted ages ago and nothing. also chased it up and asked if I missed anything. zero response. Place is falling apart.

Liralen | 8223 comments I believe the hope is that updates to what books are auto-imported will take care of more of the books that users would like added, but there is currently a significant backlog (several weeks) for add-book requests. I suggest editing the header of your add-book post to include [open] or similar.

You're welcome to contact Support with concerns: https://www.goodreads.com/about/conta...

+1

Librarians coming across a request that has 2 or 3 posts will be inclined to think it has been handled already and pass it by. Also, librarians working chronologically are still going through requests dating back to August and even late July.
