Jack advises Lucy to start giving Sean tough love but she’s really unclear how to do it. When Jack reaches him in Tahoe and tells him to get his butt back there after news of Ellen’s disappearance, he seems to resonate somewhat. However, when he sees Lucy for the first time, they don’t even acknowledge each other. What were you feeling?

When Sean and Lucy first see each other back in Vegas, they were in a public setting surrounded by cops investigating Ellen's attack. It was not the time to start talking. Sean could tell Lucy wasn't happy with him by the way she wouldn't look at him. That would have to do until they could get some time to themselves.

Sean was in Tahoe, not Las Vegas. At first, Jack had nothing to say to Sean about how to get his self together and I think Sean would not have taken any advice at that time to heart. When he didn't come home and didn't answer Lucy's texts, he knew that he really had treated Lucy badly. When he saw Lucy, he knew he had to do something to fix what was going wrong.

This was really bad. I’ve never seen Lucy and Sean this distant and it was painful. Even though they were in public, to not even acknowledge each other was just so sad.
