Hi, I’ve already finished reading the series but I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts and be part of discussions
i’m still at the start, like 30% in but omgg i love it nothing is happening so far but i’m so intriguedd
I just finished reading. I was hooked and literally couldn’t put it down! I’ve got a hold for the The Hawthorne Legacy at my library already. I’m hoping it comes in soon!!!
I read this a couple of months ago and didn't like it too much. But I'm curious to see everyone's thoughts on it!! Maybe it's time for a reread :))
I've finished reading the whole series and well it started out great but I'd say I was a bit disappointed by the ending. but overall it was a great read. definitely keeps you engaged and a fast read as well.
So cool! I got it on a whim from my library this week - even in English - so I join for sure, but have to finish another BOTM first. I'll start it in a week or so.
Quick read! I liked the mystery, pacing, and (of course) the allure of the Hawthorne boys. Anybody else on team Xander?
This is a series that really interested me with the first book but left me possibly disinterested during the second. So now I’m waiting for the fourth installment to be published before I really make myself decide if I want to continue reading it.
I’ve just received the third book and can’t wait to start reading it soon. I’m interested to see what game they are playing in this installment.
I finished it recently and I quite liked it, it keeps you hooked, the characters seemed to me to be well developed and it doesn't make you a very heavy book, which at least for me is important So I thought it was a very good read.
Carol, exact reason I’m sitting this one out. Even as a teenager I never liked YA 🤷🏻♀️ I find it so hard to connect with the characters

Unfortunatelly life and health came between but I'm back on track. I read a few chapters today and am now on chapter 11 - so far I can't say if any of the grandsons are a good fit with Avery but I like Nash and Xander most, not a huge fan of Greyson and very ambivalent about Jameson though loved the riddle part of their first meeting.
I'm half way through the book like Nash more and more (though he's his eyes on Libby) and like each of the other brothers less for Avery.
I really loved the ending. I struggled a bit through the highschool and Thea scenes but liked the book enough I'll ask my library to buy the other books in series.
I don’t even know what to say. It has been a long time (maybe since the Harry Potter books) since I sat down and read a book until after 1 am. I loved this book….so much that I had to read all three before I could start the November reads. Super engaging, super interesting, and I loved the games. Especially when it all came together at the end of the 3rd book. Great selection!

Aah I finished this series a month or so ago and loved it! Glad to see it picked and everyone’s thoughts on it ☺️

Avery Grambs has a plan for a better future: survive high school, win a scholarship, and get out. But her fortunes change in an instant when billionaire Tobias Hawthorne dies and leaves Avery virtually his entire fortune. The catch? Avery has no idea why--or even who Tobias Hawthorne is. To receive her inheritance, Avery must move into sprawling, secret passage-filled Hawthorne House, where every room bears the old man's touch--and his love of puzzles, riddles, and codes.
Unfortunately for Avery, Hawthorne House is also occupied by the family that Tobias Hawthorne just dispossessed. This includes the four Hawthorne grandsons: dangerous, magnetic, brilliant boys who grew up with every expectation that one day, they would inherit billions. Heir apparent Grayson Hawthorne is convinced that Avery must be a con-woman, and he's determined to take her down. His brother, Jameson, views her as their grandfather's last hurrah: a twisted riddle, a puzzle to be solved. Caught in a world of wealth and privilege, with danger around every turn, Avery will have to play the game herself just to survive.
