It's unlikely that I'll finish anything in the next 2 days, so it looks like my final Prompt Tally is 83! I just finished A Christmas Carol which worked for 3 prompts :) I'd never read it before and saw a few others in this group reading it - so thanks for posting! It was short and sweet and nice to finally read the original of a story I've grown up with (in other forms/movies/adaptions)

7- Biography, memoir or autobiographyThe Glass Castle
I read that book twice. Once on my own and another time for a book club.
I think it has one of the best openings for a book, where the author is in a limo going to an event and sees her mom digging in a trash can.
I see you listed it as a Challenge/ banned book. That is so crazy. Well, IMO, banning books is crazy. But this book was terrific. It was first recommended to me by an indie book store owner in my neighborhood.
51- book you've been meaning to read but never got around to itThe Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business
I think this book and Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones are easily the best habit books out there.
61- book about philosophyThink Again: The Power of Knowing What You Don't Know
Loved this book ! I will probably reread it at some point and may even purchase the eBook.
80- Read a book set on or about one of the continents -Wow ! You did really well with this prompt.
It was fun reviewing your challenge once again. Thanks for participating and adding books to my own TBR Mountain !
I was surprised to see it on the banned book list! I agree with you re banning books, & also fail to see why this particular book was chosen. Think Again is a book that’s stayed with me. I imagine I’d get even more out of it the 2nd or 3rd time reading.
And thank you for the recommendation! I’ve really enjoyed this challenge (& also reading through others’ choices!)Can’t wait to start tackling our 2023 challenge!
Lindsey, that is a remarkable feat, particularly since you started later in the year than most of us. Congratulations! It'll be fun to keep tabs next year, too.You read two books i read this year as well. I was pleased with both Kiese Laymon's version of time travel and learned some new things from Kate Quinn's WWII novel.
34- Travel - (time travel?)
Long Division
39- A story set during a war
The Things We Cannot Say
The Rose Code

I enjoyed both of those as well. I didn't realize what Long Division was prior to picking it up and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it (& also to find out it's a debut novel for Laymon - a strong first novel in my opinion!)
I also enjoyed his novel Heavy
Lindsey, same here--i picked the book up "blind", so to speak. It surprised me. There were a couple of sentences i had to reread several time to realize i read it right the first time. This was due to the time travel. Good start to for a novelist! I didn't realize he had another out already. It sounds as though readers will really get to know him better. Thanks.

Final prompt tally: 80 of 100 completed
I'm hoping to get all 100 next year, but pretty proud of this year's list.
Other than a few prompts (looking at you Western, a Play & True Crime...) I typically read several of the prompts that were left undone this year. Which makes me happy that I truly got out of my "typical" reads this year!
