Chapter 1-5: (view spoiler)[ Well life is definitely hard when you're on the run. I like how the book doesn't sugar coat the situation of being refugees. Some people come back crazy or most of time injured. I'm curious as to why Sir won't let Meira call him father or be treated as a fatherly figure. Meira's a little annoying right now. I get that she wants to prove herself but she doesn't get the whole gravity of the situation. (hide spoiler)]

Ending thoughts (view spoiler)[ The twists in here really seemed kind of obvious and I wasn't a huge fan of the world, kind of got annoyed with the use of the seasons all throughout instead of something original. Meira seemed super whiny a lot of the time so I had a hard time getting through this one but kind of predictable that she would end up with the magic at the end. (hide spoiler)]
