Star ✨ | 7 comments I need recs to break my reading slump. My autumn tbr is full of heavy dark academia stuff I am dreading to start.

I'd love to try shorter or mid-length books, maybe even a total different genre, thriller/mystery or romcom, I don't care, something that reels you in and breaks the slump - bonus points if its queer!

Mei ☽︎ (meigothic) Maz Maddox's RELIC series which starts with Smash & Grab is fast-paced MM actiony romcoms. It features dino shifters, but the spice is all in human form. Each book is under 250 pages!

Gregory Ashe's Borealis Investigations which starts with Orientation is a friends-to-lovers MM series featuring PDs. It has some angst and drama but it is a nice episodic mystery series overall.

The Best Men by Sarina Bowen is MM and one that I found to be really fresh and humorous!

I also gotta recommend Emily Henry for feel-good romcom :)
