is My Year of Rest and Relaxation worth reading?

hiii guys i kinda want to read my year of rest and relaxation but i don't know if I should buy it. Could you guys tell me a bit about it without spoilers (obviously), your thoughts etc.

I liked it and I think you probably would too based on your profile, but if you can get it from a library first I would recommend that because it's definitely not for everyone!

i loved it but it's definitely not a book that's for everyone. it's funny in a weird, twisted way sometimes so I think that you should definitely check it out

definitely try it out if you're cool with no plot books. I gave it five stars just because I like the concept of it.

it is definitely a unique book and not for everyone, but if it fits your niche i think that it's a great read! :) it follows an unreliable narrator, almost a villain protagonist while she goes through very explicit and graphic experiences. i really loved the concept personally, the only thing would be that ottessa moshfegh's writing can get heavy and i needed to take breaks every so often. but, i looked at your profile and we seem to have a similar taste in books so i would say go for it! :) i gave it five stars
