SOLVED. Long lost Adult Sci-Fi Short Story from 1980 something regarding wearing yellow for wedding. [s]

I believe what I'm looking for is a science fiction short story that was assigned during a middle school or highschool literature class during the mid 1980s. I don't recall much else about it outside of it was a story about a wedding or honeymoon. There was no sunshine due to nuclear war or some other climate catastrophe. The wedding dress was yellow to signify sunshine and hope for a better future I believe. I can't remember anything else about it..

Can't remember the title of the story or the collection, but your description reminds me of a Joan Aiken short story. In the story I'm thinking of, a young couple on honeymoon find themselves in a cottage surrounded by summer.
