Hi Incie and TheresaW, from now on we know that something isn't quite right when offered a printer at an insane low price :-) I didn't fully understand the concept of breaking through to the evil side (LOL had to think about The Doors song)? Why could it only be done with Steve... okay, there are some open questions here... all the best Peter

Hey guys 👋🏽 (view spoiler)
Would I have bought some random, obscure printer just because it was cheap and came with free ink? Hellform to the no. I think what’s funny about this story is I have had more than a few fights with printers, (maybe I’m not alone here) & I know they can actually be a nightmare. So, no, I want the most popular (easy to replace or look up info on) printer I can find, so this choice was all on the MC (and of course magnus) & he got WAY more then he paid for. 😅
Hi Phrique, LOL, thanks for your comment. He definitely got something for his change but there was also some major loss for him in the course of action with regard to wife and son... he wouldn't have bought the printer if he had known about it, I'm sure about it... all the best Peter

Yes. Just as I suspected. 😎

That’s exactly what I think. 🤔
inciminci wrote: "I'm not sure about myself, lol - if I just recently moved houses and I need to budget and if the price is low enough that I think "well, if this device doesn't work out, it's not much of a loss sin..."Yes, to your question. 😎

I sometimes think that Steve got what he deserved. He had many opportunities. The first set of photos would have been enough for me. 🤷🏽♀️

My thoughts exactly. It’s very sad how things turned out, but such is the repercussions of our actions. “Nopes” are “nopes” for a reason!
Hi guys, yes, he should have acted earlier before it was too late. He thought Wolonovsky has good intention. This probably was his final error. Maybe he should have listened to his colleague...
While we are waiting on everyone else to finish, this was my first Cross novel. I am impressed. Anyone else have any other recommendations from her I should add to my never-ending TBR list?
Phrique wrote: "While we are waiting on everyone else to finish, this was my first Cross novel. I am impressed. It's about a coma patient coming back to life. The interesting question is though who is coming back to life... all the best Peter
Zain wrote: "That sounds interesting, Peter! Is it written by Amy Cross?"Hi Zain, yes it is by Amy Cross. Quite intriguing story I couldn't put down. Can highly recommend this one. Chilling and killing :-) all the best Peter
Zain wrote: "Thanks, Peter! It sounds great! 😎"You're very welcome. This was a very intriguing tale with a great twist at the end. All the best Peter
Printers - no, wouldn’t have gone anywhere near it…in my experience you usually only get what you pay for.Steve - yep, a complete idiot…too much macho was his ultimate ruin. The printer cost almost nothing so no big loss, it was an unknown model so probably inferior in certain ways and, most of all, he was getting earache from his wife about getting rid of it…so get rid. Should have smashed it to pieces most definitely.
Amy Cross books - just finishing ‘The Nurse’ and really impressed with it. Plenty twists and some great characters. Miserable Pops…excellent!! Would definitely recommend to mainstream horror fans ( tho definitely not in the ‘extreme horror’ genre).
I'm gonna check out The Printer From Hell. Thanks to Ian from suggesting it when I introduced myself .I am excited !
Hey Joe - that’s brilliant!! 👍Remember to keep us all posted…and please say ‘Hello’ to old Mrs Munro for me. 😁

absolutely! I was also playing with the "nomo" in the middle.

How are things for you so far, Kerry? 😎
inciminci wrote: "😆 What is it with you and Mrs. Monro, Ian? I honestly didn't think she was all that spectacular!"Yeah, you’re right, Incie - the character just made me laugh, especially as I got the distinct impression that AC purposely added her into the story to bring some humour into the whole chaotic situation...

Humour and chaos is right. 😎
I finished The Printer From Hell in one sitting. I enjoyed it since I finished it in one sitting. The whole book was a rollercoaster where it seems like it was fine and then it went up to 11 with the horror/thriller which I liked. Had a twilight zone feel like the episode of the girl who gets lost in the 5th dimension. My only gripe is when they were building to some payoffs of the suspense it kinda didn't pay off or it went to a new scene really quickly. But overall I liked it 4 out 5 stars.
Yep, 4 from me too, Joe - enjoyed it.My following spoiler comment was something that disappointed for me as I was expecting it to feature more as it seemed logical somehow.

In response to Ian's spoiler ...(view spoiler)
What bothered me most about the book was the conversation. Everyone kept cutting each other off midsentence. It made every conversation feel forced and it hurt my head to read. Haha. Maybe part of it was because it reminded me of real life. People cut me off midsentence on the regular. 🙄
I know what you mean Theresa... If it happens when I'm around, I deliberately ignore the person cutting off and completely turn to the person cut off with "you were saying?". Some people even get ashamed of themselves..I have an idea concerning your spoilers though - what if : (view spoiler). I think that would be awesome.
Oh I really like your spoiler, inciminci! But .... (view spoiler) Hahaha ... sorry, I got a little carried away there. But it's fun!
🤣😆😅 You came so close to making me spit out my coffee! I wasn't ready for what I was about to read under that spoiler!! lol! I'm in! 😂 Let's make this happen.
@ Theresa and Inci - just love your ideas guys and think they would definitely work for an action-packed sequel. - 'The Printer from Hell - Returns'As regards being cut off mid sentence...what about this that happened to me...
I had been feeling really lousy in work one day when one of the bosses (who replied to people without really listening to what they said) came up to me...
Boss: hi Ian, how you doing? (just a polite greeting)
Me: Not too good, Jim...actually I'm feeling really awful.
Boss: Good, good, glad to hear it.
Me: Actually Jim, about these fig-
With that, as one of the really top guys entered the room Jim completely blanked me out mid sentence and turned 180 degrees towards the main man and started a sucking-up/creeping conversation with him!!
i was absolutely gobsmacked - insulted and fuming - but just walked away mumbling obscenities to myself. Am sorry now that I didn't say something, but I didn't want to cause a scene, but never really bothered with that lower boss ever again. Never mind eh, worse things happen at sea..but we live and learn. :)
Inci & Gordon...love is! Lol.
"The Printer from Hell's Kitchen" ?? Oh Ian - I would have done the same thing. And right, once someone acts that way I pretty much write them off. If they don't give me the proper respect to actually listen to what I'm saying, then they don't deserve to hear what I have to say! Grrrr. <- That's me being about as aggressive as I can be (not very)! 😅
TheresaW wrote: ""The Printer from Hell's Kitchen" ?? Oh Ian - I would have done the same thing. And right, once someone acts that way I pretty much write them off. If they don't give me the proper respect to act..."
🤣🤣🤣 I love this conversation, how are we gonna justify a printer in the kitchen though?
You did well, Ian, what else are you going to do when one of your bosses acts like that? Super rude.
ooh. it doesn't have to be in the kitchen, but how about in Gordon's office that's connected to the kitchen? :D

I think maybe there is still room for an internal struggle between the both sides of the printer. He can be torn, remembering his nice parents, and Magnus may remind him? But I totally see how you can give him up too.

We don't want emotional baggage in this book, do we? lol. That's no fun at all. 😅

inciminci wrote: "I really wish Cross would write a second part, just to see if Josh is in it or not 😆"If she writes it, Josh will probably be grown-up. 😎
Hey guys, we could might even be lucky enough to meet a Mr Munro too - gets nagged to death by Mrs M...and then sent straight to Hell to meet his hellform whocould be strangling the hellform Mrs M on his immediate return. And how about this..the hellform Gordon could actually be written as a pleasant and good humoured entity who goes about trying to slay the evil monsters by burning them alive, very slowly, in his ovens.
Appreciate your 'Grrr...', Theresa!!' You got me a quaking in my boots.
Yeah, that boss guy was rude...in the extreme...let the new Gordon deal with him! :)
Zain wrote: "TheresaW wrote: "Zain wrote: "inciminci wrote: "I know what you mean Theresa... Then down the line he has to get in contact with the son & well…hell would ensue. 🔥 🖨️ 🔥
It sounds like a nice touch for a sequel. Maybe someone could get in touch with Amy Cross and toss the whole idea at her. I wonder what she would say? 🤔
She would say “thanks for reaching out but if I’m being 100% honest, I lost a bet & had to let my friends pick the next book I wrote & for some reason, they all voted that a “printer from hell” was the most ludicrous they all could come up with. My brain is still recovering, but I love to hear from my readers!” 🤣
