because in my opinion it was not

I think Jules had a right not to talk about her ex, but in the moment the his painting was involved she should have told him. But in the end i think they were both wrongg

You guys have to understand Josh was lied to by his father and his best friend for years, watched his sister get kidnapped, and almost died at the hands of those said people 3 times. He spent so long trusting people he loved only to be stabbed in the back brutally, so Jules lying to him AGAIN feels like more salt in the wound, and another person he loved that he should have trusted got betrayed. He lied for 30 minutes tops and everyone gives him shit for him being righteously mad and taking out years of anger he pent up because he truly reached his peak.

I am not justifying Josh's actions. It doesn't change the fact that he used one of her biggest insecurities against her, but some of y'all act like he committed a war crime in comparison to Alex and Christian who are objectively sociopaths yet somehow the fans of these series love them more lmfao.

In short, they both committed atrocities and who is really in the wrong is debatable, but they both need to work on their communication skills. They ended up forgiving each other anyways so I don't think it matters terribly much anyways

Elyana seems like you're the only one with common sense here lmao. I still really love Josh even after what he did.. because that wasn't even the worse thing ...more

i kinda understand why she didn't but I 100% would've. like idk like maybe cuz i can't keep secrets but it was also kinda like a life and death situation and yea. idk what im saying im yapping

She should've told him right away. She is telling him to trust her, she should have trusted him the same way she wanted him to trust her. It does not matter how long they been in the relationship. They have knew each other long enough for her to have some kind of trust in him.

I feel like Jules was right for not telling him but at the same time I feel like the situation would have been handled so much easier if she just told him what she needed and why. But the way he reacted was CRAZY. they were both in the wrong IMO

from my opinion i felt like they weren't in the point of their relationship for Jules to tell about Max, but I feel like Josh was also correct as he trusted Jules but you have to note that Josh said in his pov that he was not upset about max but about her stealing and not telling when they both could've helped each other. So I think Jules was partially at fault but that doesn't mean i excuse Josh's behavior with the "I Lied" because that really was very shocking and josh could've acted a bit nicer instead of what he did.

Honestly, these three have done wrong to their love interest. But what josh did was more wrong. It was like "see I also lied as you did", he don't have to steep so low to make her bad about lying. It is not justifyable.

I feel like Jules made it such a thing to start a new life and leave everything from her past in the past. So, although she ended up letting him know about her change, I think she still wanted to keep certain things to herself. I also feel like because of the fact that he knew her for so long and also wasn’t her biggest fan; she probably thought he would go back to that and also prove him right.

I also feel like if Josh was like the other men in the series, she might have been more comfortable to tell him as they’d get rid of the threat quickly e.g. Harper.

All in all, I wish she did tell him then I wouldn’t dislike Josh as his blow up wouldn’t have happened but I also understand why she didn’t especially since he weaponised what she told him when he got angry at her.

The moment getting the painting came into the equation, Jules was making the conscious decision to lie to Josh and decide for him. It doesn't matter if she was scared or if she had no intention of hurting him. At that moment their relationship changed and yet she still proceeded to go deeper into that connection knowing she would have to betray him. That is not only deceptive, it was manipulative when she framed the robbery as a break-in. In my opinion, she violated him and used his trauma against him as well. She knew lying was the one thing he couldn't take. His one hard line after his father and Alex destroyed his trust, yet she chose to walk in those footsteps and look out for Jules, hoping she would be able to have her cake and eat it too.

I think what Alex said was right on the spot for me, she had no need to tell him. She could have gone with her life and just not say anything, but she cared about him enough to want that new start, I actually think her telling him after is better than if she would have told him before the stealing and everything because she had no idea how he felt about her. But don't get me wrong they both needed to work on their communication skills.

I don't really know. A side of me says that she needed to say it to him to make everything easier but would've it been that better? She absolutely should have talked with Josh about the painting so that what happened wouldn't have happened but I understand that Jules was in a difficult position so it is a hard thing that happened but everything became okay so it doesn't really matter.

Honestly I see why she chose not to tell him. Jules was used to dealing with everything on her own. And seeing Josh's reaction when she DID tell him, I don't even blame Jules for keeping it a "secret".

personally, she had no right to hide it from Josh but at the same time, her choice wasn't wrong either, the situation was complicated.
she was just afraid that Josh would hate her if she told him this information (overthinking), in the end, it's about trust.

Personally I would have told him, but I also understand why Jules decided to hide it from him. I also think it would have made everything ten times easier if she just told him, it would have saved her all the heart ache and it clear that Josh would have done anything for her.

Honestly, I personally would have told him, but at the same time, I have yet to experience what she has. I think she had every right not to tell him, and that was her own choice. Max was such an unpleasant being in her old life that she didn't want him seeding his way into her new one. So yeah, I would understand why she would want to handle this one by herself and keep Josh out of it.

She was not right for hiding it from Josh but at the same time , her choice can be justified, what she was dealing with was a really dark and delicate situation.

She should have told him, but she was scared. She was being blackmailed and didn't want Josh to find out about her past like this, they had just started dating and this was some heavy information (that he had the right to know, but she had also the right to tell him herself in her own terms). I get why Josh was mad, his past was full of people how lied and manipulated him, but at the same time, Jules told him the truth herself. She might have lied, but she could have stick to her lie and he was most likely never gonna find out what she did, but she came up to him and was honest. I believe that is worth something
