When I think of this I think of that

When I open yogurt I think of RA, spurting 'gurt on himself for 38 years before realizing he could simply turn the container around.

When I hear music from Grease I remember my first drive-in movie with my folks and eating three giant corndogs and popcorn and Raisinettes. I was mighty tummy sick but incredibly happy.
When I see a Jeep Wrangler I think of my first brand-spankin' new vehicle, denim blue and black, and the day we brought Jessi home from a month-long stay in the hospital for the first time. (She was premie) I miss my Jeep!

There's a kind of soap that always reminds me of my grandmother, and the way her house used to smell.
Whenever I test spaghetti noodles for doneness, I think of my friend Gretchen, because back when she was in college, and in the middle of an argument with her boyfriend, he told her that the way to find out if spaghetti was done was to throw it against the wall, and if it sticked, it was done. She threw the whole potful.

Green peppers remind me of my bro-in-law... whom I have a good-natured rivalry with. Once I was making his favorite dish, Green Pepper Steak, for him, and he came into the kitchen just to annoy me. I was cutting up said green peppers, and instead of responding to his "let's go poke at the little sis-in-law" remarks I simply turned and pitched a whole pepper at him. Absolutely exploded against the wall not 5 inches from his head. He was shocked and didn't come back into the kitchen while I was cooking for months! Ha! :} *evil grin*

Ha...it's good to be known for splattered yogurt, I guess...could be worse:)

I am one of those people...and it even happened earlier today.

When I hear the song "Fantasy" by Aldo Nova, I think of Camaros and dirt roads.

OH! I see! That's not what RA meant...
em...when I see Adrien Brody, I think of Ichabot Crane.
And when I see Taylor Swift, I think of horses.
Welcome to TC Ashley, watch out for flying noodles here too!

When did RA get hit with pies?

When I hear the song--I think by Loggins and Messina that goes, Even though we ain't got money, I'm so in love with you honey... I think about being in bed in the mornings with my husband back when we first got married, in 1981 and listening to that record--yes record--over and over and how we were so sure we'd be happy like the couple in the song and how sad it is that it didn't turn out that way.
When I see certain numbers I think about the sickness that it is the code for. I can't see 490 without thinking bronchitis, etc. Lots of codes on license plates.
When I think of chewing tobacco, I think of my Pappaw and how much I loved him and how gross it was when he reached down for the coffee can he always had by his chair to spit in. Yuck!
Leslie, Really enjoyed reading your post, so poignant.
Pine needles, most evocative fragrance in the world to moi, they make me wistful and I think of 'that'.

thanks jaimie. this is how i look while eating ice cream and thinking (although i am usually wearing pants of some sort)

Ha! I did this for 4 years.
Ha! I did this for 4 years.
Or perhaps give the bottle a break?
When I think of cinnamon (sp?) I think of toast and how much my brother in law hates cinnamon (sp? again).
When I see a station wagon I think of the 70s and how no one wore seat belts way in the back of station wagons.
You?
