Tanya (tanya23510) | 24 comments I usually have my Lavazza Espresso which I make at home, but if i am in a coffee shop I will have a Cortado or
A Latte 😊 x

message 109: by Snomer (new)

Snomer | 4 comments If I go to a cafe called Mugg & Bean to read, I drink the M&B House Blend coffee ... or if I'm reading at home, I drink Nescafé Gold coffee.

message 110: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (batgirl2401) I found out that coffee really amps up my anxiety and I drank it with way too much sugar, so I switched to tea about four months ago. I usually go through anywhere between 4-8 cups a day. My favorites for reading (all from David's Tea) are Just Beet It, English Toffee, and Stormy Night

message 111: by John (new)

John | 76 comments I prefer a nice West Coast IPA but.... a good dark roast coffee is good on a cold day. We all know fresh is best but I like that my insulated mug is pretty good for a few hours of nice warm coffee as I listen to my books.

message 112: by sunny (new)

sunny [redacted] I tend to just buy Starbucks ground coffee off the shelf at a Harris Teeter, and I use Coffeemate creamer (my favorite is the peppermint mocha flavor, but unfortunately that's seasonal).

Anita (neet413) | 53 comments I've been ordering whole bean coffee form Intelligensia. they have a great selection of beans from all over, right now the Rwandan beans are my favorite.

I am so the same. Those early morning hours are SO refreshing !

message 115: by Sam (new)

Sam (aramsamsam) I recently got myself a drip coffee maker with a metal filter (the Högmodig by Ikea, to be precise). Holy guacamole, the coffee that comes out of this is soo good! My initial thinking was to save some waste and go paperfree. At least with making coffee - I'd never give up physical books :) But it turns out it is so much better than the classic Melitta ceramic filter I've been using for years.
Has anyone else tried manual drip coffee makers?

Çağla Lotinac Akman (caglalotinac) | 5 comments Hi! I drink coffee for two reasons: to open my brain up for study/work or to just joy.
If I am getting ready to work, I make myself a big mug of black french pressed coffe (usually Kenya coffee beans) and read my book while I'm drinking. It takes 23 minutes because caffeine reaches my brain 23 minutes after the first sip. Then I get up and start doing my job.
But, if my aim is to enjoy, I make or buy a vegan cappuccino or a mocha with sugar-free berry syrup. I drink and read for hours in this way.

Is it too spesific? :))

message 122: by Alexw (new)

Alexw Thanks Cagla for your response on coffee that was not too specific-any special type of Kenya coffee beans?

No, not really. The only thing I can say that I don't like over-roasted beans, it's not healthy and it makes the taste of coffee more bitter. I prefer medium-roasted or lighter.

Maggie the Muskoka Library Mouse (mcurry1990) Lavazza Crema Gusto, pressed in a Bodum, with double cream. :)

I love a good strong, dark roast filtered coffee but quite partial to a pumpkin spiced latte ;-)

Same for me. Right now I am drinking some Starbucks brand that is too strong!

I hate Keurig with a passion. It doesn't taste like coffee to me.

Today I went with a blonde roast, but I’ll probably jump into the season of pumpkin with a pumpkin spice latte soon (although pumpkin season is year-round for me 💕).

Ah, coffee and reading, the perfect pairing—like sarcasm and my personality. I’m all about the dark, bold brews that don’t just wake you up, they slap you in the face and tell you to get your act together. Sumatra? Solid. Pike’s Place? Sure, if you’re stuck at the airport. But 100% pure Kona estate? Now we’re talking! That’s like the gold standard of caffeine. If anyone’s got the hook-up on that liquid magic, let me know—I’ll trade my first-born. Just kidding… unless you have Kona."
