The Academy For Mythical Creatures discussion
((Yeah that's fine with me))

"I've also never seen a rom-com." Dusk says.

"Grandparents were trying to make be the perfect bride." Niume says.
Dusk is reading the rom-com.
"Drama is done for the day." Niume says.
"I have nothing better to do." Azazel says with Seth and Hesperia agreeing with Azazel.
Dusk is still reading the rom-com.
Ayela smiles
Ambrose glares at Niume.

Lucyda did not often grace the library with her presence. Mostly in that, she had no need to. What point was reading when she could simply look in the oh-so-interesting shenanigans of the academy. The problem, though, was that she'd just had to extract a student that had been shoved into the great library tree's roots by bullies. She'd been a bit removed for some years (well, centuries), but it seemed like it was par the course for there to be bullies. Some things never changed. Sighing, the goddess sank into a chair at the table not far from Fungo.
She knew most faces, if not all, that stepped onto the academy grounds, teachers included. Brow raised at the sight of him reading alone, she cocked her head to the side. "You, there." Loud enough for her voice to carry. "What are you reading?"

Oh, his answer was — dry. Did he not talk to people often? Was he one of those awkward types? Lucyda, only a little, grinned. Got up from her seat to cross over to the other. The stretch of her shadow was an easy thing to manipulate out of the way, so he might be otherwise unsuspecting when she snatched up the book to inspect it.
"What sort of art does this book show?" Her eyes narrowed as she flipped through the pages. Somewhat carelessly, but not so much that she might damage the book. "Is this all that interests you?" She shut the book, no regard for where he might have been. Not even her finger stuck between the pages.

"Does it look like I care about what's proper and what isn't?" A raise of her brow in question, challenge even. If he could speak up about a book, he could certainly speak up about this. Lucyda chuckled as he glared at her, unphased by such expressions; what could he do to her?
"I don't believe it's proper to refer to your superiors as darling." A quip easily at the tip of her tongue. A grin of all teeth on display as she tipped her head to the side. "Everything and nothing, darling, is what I'm interested in." A shrug before she tacked on: "Like what the cute little teachers and students are doing."

Jay had been distracted by a certain row of books before he managed to hear Yuri call him over in a quiet voice. He approached her, but didn’t sit. He never really liked the library chairs, and he didn’t want to pop a bean bag, so he decided to stand. That way he was super tall. The cervitaur looked at her. “Now what?” He asked, obliviously.

“Japanese!” He said with a bit too much eagerness. He grinned widely at her, restraining himself from being any louder. Though it was difficult because he was such an overboard chit-chatterer who literally never shut up.

Jay nodded. He never knew that, so it was new to him. He placed it in his ‘that’s interesting’ category, before leaning over to examine the paper with curiosity. “Okay.” He said, trying to contain his excitement.

Jay took in the information, repeating the letters under his breath on loop so he could memorize them. Once he thought he got them down for the most part, he gave her a thumbs up, beaming brightly. “Got it!”

“I only know one sentence.” Jay said calmly, forcing down his giggles. “And that sentence is, あなたは生い茂ったシマリスです。”
Yuri tried not to burst out laughing. " そうですか? So I'm a シマリス, am I?" she said.
