"I see" Maria said, nodding her head. "I've seen him around a few times, and I've actually talked to him a few times. He seems nice, at least from when I was talking to him. But he does seem a little too obsessed with chess."
Maria tilted her head. "Then what's the reason?" she asked. She could've speculated why, but she figured that it wouldn't be worth the time to try. If Blade didn't want to answer her question, then she wouldn't pry him further.

Maria thought for a moment. "No, not that I remember" she replied. But I think I know what you mean. Is that what your brotner's like? He seemed nice to me when I talked to him, though."
Michael "Happy 18 years of OK" wrote: "Blade replied, "I've known him for long enough to know not to trust him""
Maria frowned. "Not trust him?" she said. She thought for a moment. She was confused. What did he do to make Blade say that that about his own brother? "He's your brother, though. Why shouldn't he be trusted?"
Maria frowned. "Not trust him?" she said. She thought for a moment. She was confused. What did he do to make Blade say that that about his own brother? "He's your brother, though. Why shouldn't he be trusted?"
"Oh" Maria said. She didn't know what else to say about the topic, thinking for a moment. "Now that you mention it, when I spoke with him, he was nice, but he also seemed... kind of off. I don't know how else to describe it besides that."

"That makes sense" Maria said. "My brother is kind of like that. He acts different around me and my sister than other people. He doesn't talk much, but he's really nice once you get to know him."
Maria raised an eyebrow. "Worse? What do you mean by that?" she asked. She wasn't sure what to make of the information Blade was providing. She wondered if it was even a good idea to talk about it. But it was too late now. It was already brought up.
"True nature, huh?" Maria said. She was still confused, but she didn't question it further. "I guess it makes sense when you put it that way, though. So I should avoid talking to him again?"
"I haven't decided yet" Maria said. "But I can understand your decision, just based on what you said. She glanced around, deciding to change the subject. "Well except for chess, are you in any of the clubs here?"
Maria smiled. "That's cool" she said. "I like gardening too, but I'm not in the gardening club. I'm in cheer and choir. And also art. Maybe I should join it before I gradate." She paused for a moment. "How long have you been at the school for?"
Maria looked with a puzzled expression. "Really?" she said. She didn't question it further, though. "I've been here for about four years, so I'll be graduating soon."
Maria smiled. "That's cool" she said. "Do you have any plans for what you want to do after you graduate? Or are you just seeing what will happen when the time comes?"
Maria nodded. "That's fine. There's no rush to decide" she said. "I haven't decided what I want to do after either. Maybe I'll take some time off to think about it."
Maria nodded. "Agreed" she said. "No one should be rushed into a decision like that. I've thought about it a little, but I haven't decided yet." She glanced over at Savannah. "Do you have an idea of what you want to do after you graduate?"
Maria smiled. "That's cool" she said. She paused for a moment, thinking. "Maybe I'll be teacher too. Or maybe a singer. I'm still not too sure yet. I'll have to think about it more."
Maria nodded. "Yeah, I suppose so" she said. She found both of interesting, but she wasn't sure if they were the right fit for her. She figured that she would find something that interested her at some point.
Maria tilted her head. "Thinking limit?" she said. She sighed. "I didn't think anyone had a thinking limit." She paused for a moment. "What should we do? Do we just leave him alone for now?"
"Wait, his head falls off after that happens?" Maria said. She paused for a moment. "Well, I guess that makes sense, actually. Since he's a zombie, after all. That tends to happen."
Maria looked at Blade, her eyes fixed on him. "Uh, should we do something?" she asked. She stood up from her chair, crossing her arms. "You know, like help put his head back on?"
Maria shrugged. "Alright, then" she said. She wasn't exactly comfortable picking up someone else's head, so she decided to leave it alone for now. "Is he able to pick it up himself, though? Just wondering."
"Oh" Maria said. She paused for a moment. "Actually, that makes sense." She gave a small chuckle. "It's pretty much impossible to function without a brain, after all. But for him, it doesn't matter since none of us here are human."
Maria nodded. "And he's technically dead anyway" she said. "Most most mythical creatures are like that. Or they can live a really long life, like vampires and kitsune. And fairies like me. We can still die, but we can get to be very old."
Maria shrugged. "I don't mind that. You can get to experience a lot of things with a long life. But some things can be bad, that's for sure" Maria. "So I guess it depends on what you think."
