Th book was meant to be part of a series, but no others were printed. It was set in the Ultima V storyline. The main character was a noble's son, he left home with a girl who was looking for her brother, another boy who was a guild member and the main characters little brother.

The Forge of Virtue by Lynn Abbey, perhaps?There was another that followed it, though, so mayhap not.
