Read fun novella High Times in the Low Parliament in which a horny scribe chases kisses and uses hallucinogens and tries to save the world on the side. And the Jasmine Throne just came in for me at the library, so that's probably next.

Just finished Slugfest: Inside the Epic, 50-year Battle between Marvel and DC which I really enjoyed. Author had a great writing style. Up next is Jasmine Throne.
I blazed through Stephen J. Cannell's first Shane Scully book, The Tin Collectors in a few days. I grew up watching his tv shows (Rockford Files).
Actually before that I reread Peter F. Hamilton's Night's Dawn trilogy https://www.goodreads.com/series/4331... , which with its huge worldbuilding has its own wiki('s) https://nightsdawn.fandom.com/wiki/Ma.... It's a combination of horror and scifi, with some amazing scifi set pieces (my man Joshua). All 3 books have exciting endings, and the last ending is controversial. The books are huge though; the opposite of the Cannell book.
I finished the Australian classic
Picnic at Hanging Rock by Joan Lindsay
Rating: 4 stars

and I bring it up because there are some cosmic horror implications (which are even further explored in the posthumously published final chapter, for those who choose to read it) as well as parts that reminded me of The Great God Pan by Arthur Machen.
