If a book's cover cannot be found online, or is missing ISSN

Hi, so I have a couple of Urdu books I would like to post a request for. For one, however, I cannot find it's ISSN (not written in the book, sadly), and for two I can't find an online cover link.

Can I take a photo of the cover myself? Also, can I still post a request without the ISSN or will it not be considered?

ISSN numbers are for magazines which we don't include in the database. If you mean ISBN, then we would include that if it has one.

It isn't a requirement for a book to have an isbn, as before the 70's, they didn't exist.

So yes, request the book in the Adding New Books folder, mention that it doesn't have an ISBN, so the librarian doesn't waste time looking for one.

If you have the book and can take a photo/scan of the cover, please add it to your photo section. A librarian can add it to the book, when you let us know its been added.
