Heya! My Sept tbr is a gigantic mess haha but I'll post it in a second, see if anyone wants to BR anything!

message 9: by Eesh (new)

Eesh (quirkyopinions) | 7289 comments I didn't had a much of a TBR last month. I'm trying to give myself a bit more freedom to be spontaneous. But this month, I have at least a few books I'm definitely reading. The Franklin U series has weekly book releases and I'm super excited for those. Already read the first. There's also a book I've already started that I need to finish. So this is what my TBR looks like:

Assassin's Apprentice (Farseer Trilogy, #1) by Robin Hobb The Dating Disaster (Franklin U #2) by Saxon James Mr. Romance (Franklin U #3) by Louisa Masters Bet You (Franklin U #4) by Neve Wilder The Glow Up (Franklin U #5) by A.M. Johnson Learning Curve (Franklin U #6) by N.R. Walker Frankenstein by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley

Other than that, we'll see.

Oh that's cool, weekly book releases! I love how indie release so close together!

message 11: by Eesh (new)

Eesh (quirkyopinions) | 7289 comments These are actually by different authors. They all collaborated to have a shared universe series. They each have a book for their own characters but other authors' characters show up too. It's really cool.

Courtney | 15946 comments Hey everyone. I am just getting out of a very long slump so I dont have to much planned. Right now these are the books I want to get to this month.

Artemis Fowl (Artemis Fowl, #1) by Eoin Colfer , I Hunt Killers (I Hunt Killers, #1) by Barry Lyga , Wrath of the Dragon King (Dragonwatch, #2) by Brandon Mull , and As Good As Dead (A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, #3) by Holly Jackson (if it comes in time)

I'm 10% into Twin Crowns and liking it so far! Hopefully will get it finished today!

message 20: by Aaron (new)

Aaron (aa3142) | 1520 comments I’m starting this month strong. Got a few buddy reads planned to keep me motivated. I’ve started Artemis Fowl (Artemis Fowl, #1) by Eoin Colfer and The Final Gambit (The Inheritance Games, #3) by Jennifer Lynn Barnes today and both are pretty good so far.

@Maddie I noticed you had Steelstriker (Skyhunter, #2) by Marie Lu on your TBR list. I’ve been meaning to read that if you wanted to BR it later in the month?

message 21: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53673 comments Mod
@Aaron: Yes sounds good for Steelstriker!

message 22: by Natalia (new)

Natalia (natalken) | 164 comments I don't really have any TBR, will be picking up what I currently feel like reading, and then probably few BRs if I see anything that I'm interested in reading. For now I'll probably join the BR for These Violent Delights (These Violent Delights, #1) by Chloe Gong and Scythe (Arc of a Scythe, #1) by Neal Shusterman if I have time for both.

Nice Courtney! You know what series I keep thinking about? That paranormal Shifter one we started years ago that we never finished haha. With the angels and stuff!

I'm finishing Front Lines today and then will see what my next book is

I know exactly what series you are talking about. I wanna pick it back up but I gotta go back and read my reviews because I dont wanna start it all over again. Lol

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53673 comments Mod
Haha yeahhhh I'd just pick it up where we left off and hopefully remember stuff

message 32: by Eesh (last edited Sep 06, 2022 05:24AM) (new)

Eesh (quirkyopinions) | 7289 comments Okay, reading update! I finished The Dating Disaster by Saxon James a few days ago, just haven't reviewed it yet. Will do that today. I'm also halfway through both Frankenstein and Assassin's Apprentice. And I'm starting The Sunny Side by Lily Morton today. I'll try to finish at least one of these by tomorrow.

message 33: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 15946 comments Hey guys. Sorry I havent been on much. This mo th has been really busy for me. I just started my next book. It is a reread so hopefully I can finish it this month.

I'm hoping to finish Hollow Vows today!

message 35: by Natalia (new)

Natalia (natalken) | 164 comments I'm in the worst reading slump ever, I've started a ton of books but I just can't get past 10-15% in any of them... Do you guys have any recommendations what to do to get myself out of it?

message 36: by Eesh (new)

Eesh (quirkyopinions) | 7289 comments I have a few reviews to post that I'll try to do by tomorrow. I got sick twice to weeks and things have been a bit of a disaster because of that.

I'd say either try to push through one of them, pick up something that you know you're gonna fly through (like a reread or a genre you find easy), or try a novella.

message 38: by Eesh (new)

Eesh (quirkyopinions) | 7289 comments It also helps to sometime take some time off of reading. Even just a day or two.

I agree with trying to reread a favorite book. That way you know it's something you enjoy

message 40: by Natalia (new)

Natalia (natalken) | 164 comments I finally managed to finish one ☺ I guess my brain can only take light romance books for now even though my heart wants other genres too...

I'm the same way sometimes. Reading a fun and lighthearted romance can really help.
