A little bit of both. It was a calculated risk on Jane's part, even if it was somewhat TSTL. It really could have gone badly but then this is a romance novel so....

It was risky. She could have got her head blown off. But I liked that she came up with a plan herself so others wouldn't be sacrificed.

Extremely smart and gutsy and foolhardy, but it worked.
