The killer wages an assault at Tom Paoletti’s home, killing Angelina Murphy thinking she’s Jane. Your thoughts about what happened, especially knowing Vin’s devotion to her?

This was heartbreaking. That said, I kind of guessed it would happen considering the emphasis Brockmann places on how similar Angelina and Jane were in appearance. That was really heavy foreshadowing.

I remember being shocked when I read this book several years ago. This time I was prepared for Angelina's death, but it was still hard to read.

I agree that scene was heartbreaking.

I’d forgotten about that until just moments before it happened. Broke my heart all over again, especially for Vin. He shouted his devotion to her at every opportunity. This was just bad.

This is the first time I read the book, and I cried like a baby at the house, and again when the guys went to tell him Angelina was dead. What a heart breaker!

Sharon, it was just as bad the second time around.
