It doesn’t take long for Cosmo to see straight through Jane’s facade when no one else did. How did he do it? Why didn’t he ever give up on her, even when she behaved badly? What about her worked for him?

Cosmo recognized a kindred spirit. He too hides who he really is (soft heart behind the stoicism), so he was able to see beneath her mask.

Jane is fantastic with Cosmo. She never loses her patience and waits for him to get the words out. He feels comfortable with her and is able to open up and reveal parts of himself that he has never been able to before.

Cosmo is a very observant guy. He picked up on the little things.

Lauren, those are great points.

Anita, part of his observation skills is just shutting up and listening to what’s being said and what’s not. Cosmo is completely tuned into everything around him, not finding a need to be heard or seen.
