Meanwhile, Patty is being pursued by one of the extras, Wayne Ickes. Were you ever suspicious of him being part of the Freedom Network? Why or why not?

I thought Wayne may have something to do with the threats against Jane. He had access to the movie production and he was always around.

[Lauren]

I was suspicious of Wayne the entire time. I was sure he was the assassin.

Poor Wayne! He is such a great guy and he deserves better than Patty!

I didn't suspect Wayne. My reasons: He was from LA; he didn't exhibit any undue interest in Jane; he had a real job.

[Lauren]

I bit the red herring, convinced he was trying to get close to Jane through Patty. He was just so cloying in his approach I lost sight of him really being attracted to Patty.

Even the second time around, I got fooled.

I'm with most of you. I suspected him almost to the end of the book. He showed up at times that made him suspicious. Being from LA was the perfect cover in my opinion. A fanatic can live any where.

A good point about having a job.
