Hello, in February last year I read the same book twice for my book club (once in Norwegian and once in English). I added both editions to my bookshelf and everything was fine. Today I see that one of these editions has been changed to an English language one and the Norwegian paperback edition I had originally read has vanished. Why has this happened? Now the edition I read doesn't even exist in the database. But obviously it does exist, I own a copy. I don't think it's OK to do this, to just delete books and replace them with other editions that aren't even in the same language. Is this something that is normal to have happen?? How can I get back to the correct editions?

Is it this one?https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
It may have been deleted as a duplicate. However, it should have been merged into the one above, rather than a different edition.
Support may be able to tell you more:

It happened with a few books of mine, too. Also, a new clean-up script seems to be running that is again deleting editions with ISBNs. I received a message this morning that Support are looking into it.

If it was deleted as a duplicate, then someone messed up, because it was NOT a duplicate. It was the only Norwegian paperback edition in the database. Now there are no Norwegian language paperback editions, only hardcovers. So someone has made a mistake and this edition should be restored. It also has a cover which now no book in the database has, so again, clearly *not* a duplicate.
