🔪 This class is big and roomy, some walls has past students who had this class, some had weapons for ones who don't have fighting powers, there was a big window to look at the field where sometimes you would go to train.🔪

NARIKO

Nariko watched as students entered the classroom, a hand placed on their hip and the other draped loosely over a wooden sword. Already, the demigod had begun the task of sorting through the students as they entered, appraising them. Matching them up to see who might learn best with another student, and who would have the unfortunate honor of facing them. Their hair was pulled back partly in a ponytail, giving golden eyes a clear, piercing view as they landed on the last of the students to walk in.

“Line up!” The boom of their voice filled the whole room like a clap of thunder, the crackle of anticipation to follow it. “Address your teacher.” Nariko wanted them attentive, and ready.

current students
Saber ( michael )

Anyone else that would like to join, please ask.

Michael "I'm back" | 1121 comments Saber clicked his tongue as he walked in. "i must be late i guess"

Michael "I'm back" | 1121 comments Saber fixed his mask and looked at the other students around him then at the teacher.

Nariko glanced to Saber as he spoke. A smile that didn't reach their eyes, much too close to a sneer to really be a smile, spread over their lips. "Maybe consider being on time." They jerked their head to the side. "Out of line." There would be no further instruction directed to him, a pointed ignoring as they turned their attention back to the other students.

"Today — is sparring day. If you remember your partners from last time, pair up with them. If not, remain in line and I will pair you again."

Michael "I'm back" | 1121 comments Saber groaned. "what a dam pain"

Michael "I'm back" | 1121 comments Saber put his mask over his face and yawned.

"Oh, it's a pain, is it?" Words so casually, one would think that Nariko might have been in agreeance. Even without the malice, though, there was a weight to each syllable to match each step they took. A hand in their pocket, the other still draped lazily over the sword at their hip as they approached. The slightest of cock of their head as they stared down at Saber. "It's a pain to have to teach students who show up late, and who don't even have the discipline to quietly do as they're told. Since it's a pain to quietly obey the orders of your superior, perhaps you would be better served to learn what other pains are."

The grin that stretched over their lips as they spoke, however, was every bit malice where their words were light. A casual conversation among equals — except they weren't equals, were they?

Without looking over to her, the demigod spoke. "Kumani, since you've forgotten your partner, I would like for you to make this less a pain for Saber. You two will be sparring with me."

Michael "I'm back" | 1121 comments Saber grabbed his kanabo. "let's get this over with then"

Michael "I'm back" | 1121 comments Saber looked at kumani. "are you a idiot?! this is weaponry class!!"

Nariko, typically for the sake of the students, prohibited certain weapons. Enforced that there should be wooden replicas of most, at the very least. A rule that was generally made clear, but here was Saber: breaking another rule. Another disrespect toward the demigod. The grin on their face spread wider.

"Wooden, only; but for you two, I will make an exception." A solemn nod before they withdrew the wooden sword from its holster at their hip. And, then — split it promptly over their knee. The wood splintered and broke without protest, the crack of it carrying throughout the room. Students that had been watching from the corner of their eyes looked more openly then. They watched as the sword had been forced into the form of two. The uneven split of it produced a long sword and a short sword, hilts simple and plain.

Adjusting their hold on them, Nariko stepped forward. "You'll be needing a real weapon with me. First hit goes to you."

Michael "I'm back" | 1121 comments Saber picked his kanabo up. "don't you regret this later"
Saber ran and jumped up and swung the kanabo down above her. while leaving enough space to move back just in case of a attack.

"You might want to say that to yourself."

Nariko grinned, allowing him to come close into their space before they bat away his kabano with ease using the half of the wooden sword in their left hand. A movement that would have left him open, and in one fluid motion, the sword in their right hand jabbed forward to land a solid hit to his gut. That probably wouldn't leave too bad a bruise.

Michael "I'm back" | 1121 comments Saber grabbed the end of the wooden sword and pushed his feet through the ground. "got it"

With his hands occupied with the sword, Nariko swiftly used the “blunt” edge of the other to knock into his side. Much less restraint with their strength this time. Using the momentum of this movement as a sort of pendulum, they swung the sword from Saber’s hands with ease.

Michael "I'm back" | 1121 comments Saber kicked him in the stomach when the sword was swung away before quickly grabbing their head and headbutting them through their mask.

Valiant attempts, but each blocked with little effort. No sense in wasting energy in dodging them. The demigod reached up, grabbing Saber's jaw and holding him at arm's length. The smile had, for the most part, left their face. Unimpressed was an apt word to describe their expression. "You realize you're attempting to best a god of war, yes?" Well, demi-god, but Nariko was still leagues above his skill level.

The amusement in seeing his...attempts remained, though. Hubris; a fatal flaw waiting to be crushed. They could do just that by crushing his jaw in their hands, but instead — they tossed him. Much like a ragdoll, they threw him back. Nearly into a watching group of students.

"I didn't say to stop sparring." A warning barked to the students before they returned to their own sparring.

Michael "I'm back" | 1121 comments Saber got up picking his kanabo up as steam came from his mask.

"Oh, are you upset?" Nariko's tone was goading, mocking. A hand raised, fingers beckoning him forward. "Does baby need a nap? You were saying this is such a pain and now you're all worked up. Maybe you need to sit down." They stood, seemingly defenseless, as they waited for his approach.

Michael "I'm back" | 1121 comments Bits of lightning came from Saber's kanabo."don't you dare mock me!" Clouds started to appear over saber's head As the sound of thunder could be heard.

message 21: by goule (new)

goule | 294 comments

There was a thin line between inexperience and overall stupidity. Nariko wondered which side Saber landed on. To think he could, in any way, turn the tide of this. "Are you planning to shock me like one of those little buzzer pranks? How cute." The crackle of electricity in their own body went through them, head tipping to the side as they observed Saber. "Come on, then."

Michael "I'm back" | 1121 comments Saber threw his kanabo at him as lightning surrounded it.

message 23: by goule (new)

goule | 294 comments

Just like everything else had been easy, so too had been catching the kanabo. Caught, and crushed. The sizzle of electricity over their skin was nothing to them as the metal crumbled in their hold. A minute flexing of the muscles in their arm before they let the remainder of the weapon thrown at them drop to the ground. And they — remained unimpressed. Bored now, even.

Gesturing with a finger to circle the room, they clicked their tongue. "Once your weapon's gone in this class, you're done. 50 laps around the room; get to it."

Michael "I'm back" | 1121 comments "who said it was done?" Saber picked up the hand which remained. "it hasn't even started yet" He made the end of the Kanabo using lightning from the cloud above his head. "and i'm still pissed off"

The only change to Nariko's expression was a raise of their brow at his insolence. "You've done nothing worth continuing this fight." A warrior, hardened through actual warfare — among gods, humans, their own siblings — knew better than to think that outside of this room the conditions of a fight would the same. That it wouldn't end until the loser was broken, or dead. They had some restraint (usually wrapped up in their boredom) when it came to the students.

But some people just didn't learn easy.

"Am I supposed to care about your feelings when you've been disrespectful? Perhaps you hit your head when I threw you."

Michael "I'm back" | 1121 comments Saber was about to attack but a blur passed behind him as he fell. Yuji stood and looked down at saber. Y: "you need to calm down a bit or you might break another bone"

message 27: by goule (new)

Breaking a bone would be putting it lightly. Mostly unnoticeable to the untrained eye, but Nariko had been prepared for his attack. In the peripheral of their vision came the appearance of another student, whom — they didn't quite recall being in their class at the start. Another late arrival, but there was also the matter of interruption. With a speed that was only natural for their demigod status, they stood behind both students. Weapons aside, they placed a firm hand on the shoulders of both students.

"It is not polite to interrupt a sparring session, and even less so polite to disregard the direct orders of a teacher or superior." With each word their grip would tighten as the demigod forced the two students to their knees. "Perhaps some reflection on your behavior is necessary, yes?"

Michael "I'm back" | 1121 comments Yuji just moved a fast speed away from them while picking up saber. Y: "he has pushed himself to the limit again still as hotheaded as ever he is."
Yuji looked to the teacher.
y: "sorry to interrupt but if i didn't interfere he would have killed himself trying to win in a simple sparring match"

"I'm sure he would have with any other teacher." Nariko had little problem keeping pace with the students, but would allow them this. "Take him to the nurse, and let them know that he has a demerit for his behavior." A clear dismissal before they turned back to the class that had gone on. The heavy air of boredom settled over them as they observed the other students sparring.

( fin for me )

Michael "I'm back" | 1121 comments ok)) Yuji carried Saber to the nurse.

Ann Jiu Jiu walked in clutching her katana on her right hand tightly that her hands were tiring white. She wished Mu Chen wasn’t following her to the academy.
