"Wow. I just got here yesterday morning. I've barely settled into my dorm." She gave a small laugh that sounded a bit like a songbird.
"really? i would've thought you've been here longer" he said tilting his head
"No," she took a deep breath before continuing, "no. My family moves around a lot, like a flock of birds, so I'm used to adapting quickly. Speaking of my family, can you believe I've never had a male influence before?" Des made a face. "Not that I need one."
"Thats crazy..atleast you have family-.." he said trying not to over think things
"Yeah. I know a lot of other kids here can't say the same." Des stretched her wing by reflex, and winced. "I hope this helps soon." She mused.
"mm..my family never really cared..my older sisters hated me..and my mother..she was something else..but my father.." he paused a shiver went down his spine and he tried to distract himself by drinking some of his tea
Des nodded, her voice finally leaving her. "That sucks..."
"mm..my father is worse.."
She sipped her drink instead of saying anything else. "Do you want to change the subject?" She suggested.
"yeah..i don't really try to think of my father to much.." he mumbled looking down
"Alright. This place gave me our drinks for free because yesterday, before I got to the school, I came here and they accidentally spilled coffee all over my wings." Des smiled, recalling the event.
"that sure sounded fun" he joked smiling a bit "i've never actually met a harpie before to be honest i've never seen one either" he admitted
"You should probably be glad. Most of my kin would scratch your eye out. My family's not so keen on other species." Des grimaced, taking another sip of her drink.
"that sounds scary..but crazy" Trover said taking another sip of the tea "how come your family is like that? no offense" he asked
Des's expression turned grave. "Men have done irreparable things to the women of my family." She said, deciding that was all she would speak of the matter.
"like my father by the sounds of it..sorry for asking.." he apologized Trover seemed like he asked something he shouldn't of so he tried to think of a way to change the subject
"Yeah, it's okay." Des shrugged. "It was mostly the ancient Greek heroes." Her phone buzzed in her pocket, and she took it out. "Dang. It's later than I thought. I have science, I don't feel like missing it." She pushed her chair back, standing up. "What class do you have?"
He took out his class schedule and scanned it over "Huh..English next" he said folding the schedule back up and putting it in his pocket
"Well, do you want to meet somewhere after class?" Des asked.
"sure but..where?" he asked
"I don't know." Des shrugged. "I don't know the campus very well."
Imogen walked into the cafe and stood in the line grumbling slightly about how busy it was today. She looked behind the counter and saw a boy fuming over a coffee machine. She watched as the line slowly moved up. She could see people looking at her, most likely for her skin, but she wasn't fazed.
When Imogen got to the counter she rolled her eyes when Levi had to take her order. "And why did they hure you?" She asked ticked off at the wait
"What the fuck do yiu think I want at a damn coffee shop" She said not caring if ither people heard ehr
"you didnt even take my order dipshit" She said rolling her eyes as she watched him. Levi and her never got along. He hated her she she fought back
"Thank you" She said kindly to him as she orded a iced cofee and a blueberry muffin and watched as levi went off to actually do wrok instead of arguing with her
Imgoen never read levi's mind, but never planned to either. She watched as he whispered to the other boy "Oh fuck off levi and go make cofee" She said
"thank you" She said dna smiled kindly at the worker before flipping off levi and walking to an open tbale which had to be right bear Levi was. She rolled her eyes and sat diwn drinking her drink
She took a bite of her muffin and a drink of ehr coffee. This is good thank youShe said to teh boy at the counter iving him a smile.
"really?" She asked smilng back "Well I'm sure its even better because you made it" She said smilng
Imogne hadn't said she'd never read levis emotions now. "Why're you jealous levi?" Imogen asked smirking
"thats no way to treat a customer levi" She said smirking and standing up "and to think, I was going to tip you" She scoffed and flipped him off
She didnt say anythign and left a twenty on teh counter, not for the other worker, but for levi, and she made it known when she slid it directly twords him before walking out ((meet again somwhere else? Sorry I know its sudden but it fit wiht what hapopened sorry))

Kmogen looked up as levi walked by her but didnt say anyhitng, shed wait till later to order
Imogen everntually out her book down at her tabke and walked up to the counter "My usual please" She said bluntly to Levi
"Blueberry muffin, and an iced latte, please and thank you" She said putting the amount plus a smaller tip today on the counter for him
SHe didn't hear and sat back down at her tbale ((what if he tripped and spilled it on her- >:)
"what the hell?!" Imogen said as her drink was spilled on her thinking it was intentional
"what the fuck was that for leviathan!" She said angrily snatchign the papertowles from him. From where she sat it looked liek he had dumped it on her, not like it was an accident

"I did to fuckign pay for my meal I left eh money and a tip on the counter you dumb shit!" She said getting angrier
