1.Models on cover (please illustrations or discreet covers are so good)2.When they fall in love too quickly! (How? Attraction is okay. Love takes time! Unless its kittens or puppies or any other baby animals)
3. Miscommunication - just eww! Nope!
4. Clichéd sentences - "She didn't like it. She didn't like it at all." Or "Her name from his lips felt like a plea or a prayer!" No, thank you.

I hate when you need to read like 100 pages to get to the denouement. And I really dislike the long chapters or returning to the past
miscommunication as a trope / wattpad-esque book covers

cheating tropes. I also can’t stand when a book is marketed as enemies to lovers but it’s actually just a miscommunication tro. Like, for example, in the beginning of the book, they talk about how they hate each other and then they realize they actually loved each other and just didn’t know. Like what? I want a book where the main characters despise each other and then start to fall in love. Is that so much to ask for?

my biggest pet peeve would be real people on book covers and also king chapters.
its not a pet peeve but I have an issue with looking at/getting distracted by the pretty covers more than reading the book. I had to cover the books with newspaper to preserve the covers and keep my asd overactive brain at ease
actual pet peeves of mine are-real pictures of people or objects when the book is fictitious.
-cheap spines on paperback causing them to bend when you open the damn book
-covers that are shorter than the book pages
-glossy
-too much of an artsy book cover
-when dialogue doesn't say who's talking when a new topic arises, I have to reread and use logical educated guesses to figure out who's talking

@Brittny that's like me saying I don't like when books have too much straight people stuff in it. 🙄 if youre that worried about it just find one that doesnt have that stuff in it .
cringe worthy lyrics or poems haha! but if they're good then it's okay. also hate it when cocky male characters are so full on with the fmc. Cocky males who are attractive is hard to pull off

The same with what someone had mentioned before this, but the cheating trope is so unnecessary cuz then the author builds up to be something the characters are so strong for getting through when in reality.. its never brushed off that easily
stickers i can't peel off, if the covers have the characters on them (i like to imagine what they look like lol) and i'm not the biggest fan of 3rd person pov

Wattpad style writing if that makes sense. Books that have real people on the covers annoy me so much idk why.
