Not really all that different - just really wanted to change up the subject line from the usual "hi, I am new here" posts. I think I have been lurking a while and haven't introduced myself but I thought it might be neat to join some groups on Goodreads and add a little sociability to my reading life. I am a somewhat verbose, extremely awkward, but mostly nice introverted, vegetarian, demisexual, queer, cisgender but also gender non-conforming ladybritches in the midwestern U.S. My favorite books are usually psych memoirs, queer YA love stories/coming-of-age stories, and horror novels. I also love graphic novels and true crime. I'm a librarian with two cats living in the outskirts of Chicago. I have been here for the last 20+ years, though I grew up in bumblefuck NC.
