The story begins with the murder of Heather Johansen. What clues did you walk away with?

Robin (robinmy) | 2466 comments If I remember correctly, we were told that the killer was a woman.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3501 comments That this will be another good Tracy Crosswhite story.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3501 comments More than one person is involved, and one is a woman.

Believe it or not, the prologue never mentioned the gender of the killer. But, I also walked away from it believing they killer was a woman.

I Listened to the story. It was the narrator's voice that made me think female. I re-listened and realize that I had the scenes mixed up. There is only one character with Heather.

I will have to listen to it again to answer this. It's the down side of reading too many similar genre books in a short amount of time. I don't recall thinking it was a woman because I was thinking it was the person who got her pregnant.

Really? I definitely knew it was a woman by the end of the prologue. I'm not sure what was said that made me think that.

I went back and read it. Surprised me, too.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3501 comments You're right, but I still feel woman when I listen to the prologue.

Same here. Maybe it was how she phrased things? Whatever it was, I was convinced the killer was female.

You and I were in the same boat, Sandra. I thought it was whoever got her pregnant.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1205 comments I read the book, so a narrator's voice did not influence me. I did think it was the guy who got her pregnant, although I had no clue who that was.
