Review: Whew! Not my cup of tea at all and not just because Bo was an ice hockey player - a sport I dislike intensely. This had a goodreads rating of 4.7 and I have no idea what I am missing but if I didn’t need it for this challenge it would have been a DNF. I hated the two MCs - Bo was a violent thug at worse, a bully at best. Blayne was - well - I couldn’t work her out. This shapeshifter world is not one I am comfortable with. But Bo did love Blayne while Blayne just thought he was going to eat her, so that was a bit amusing. It has such a high rating, and some of my closest goodreads friends loved it. So obviously I’m in the minority

My kind of book, romantic suspense, science paranormal, action, alpha heroes, strong women. Feehan does get a little wordy at times but I plan to continue on with the series as I need to know all the other characters stories now.

Review:
A light romance book. Was easy to read. There was no misunderstanding to make long story for nothing, and I loved that. The hero was sure about his felling and the heroine also. I will give a try for next book in series, just curious about the brothers stories.

This is a Holocaust survivor’s memoir that goes beyond just her war experiences but also encompasses her childhood in Hungary, her liberation by the American troops, her immigration to Israel and then to England in later years.

Review: Annie Seaton is an Australian author, and I love her books. This book is one of her early works and although a pleasant read, it didn’t knock my socks off. Handsome pirate, innocent girl, evil religious uncle and missing priceless treasure that everyone wants to get their hands on. Got all the ingredients for a great read - but just slightly missed the mark for me.

Review - I usually don’t read YA, but for some reason this book stood out to me while I was searching through the challenge reading lists. Now I remember why, I usually don’t read YA. It was a little too cliché, a little too tropey, and a little too much West Side Story/Romeo & Juliet. Although I did enjoy the male protagonist, Alex; his likable character was not enough for me to enjoy the pairing of him and Brittany.

Review - I love Book Lovers. I chose this book as my week 3 read, because, yes I have read it already, and already knew it would be a funny, charming, quick read, that I desperately needed during this busy week I've had. Nora is a badass, ambitious, independent, career-driven bosslady, which I love. Emily Henry writes Nora's ambitions in such a way that, as a young person just starting out in my career, myself, really looked up to. Also the banter between Nora and Charlie is stellar and perfect.

Is my second book written by Agatha Christie, sure will not be the last. I've listened the audio book. It captivated me from start to finish. But it seems to me that the ending was a bit faster compared to the rest of the book.

This is the third in the series a second chance romance. It really didn’t hit it for me. Lily had broken up the MC due to childhood trauma that seemed really lame to me. Much of the book was description, other characters stories, hand wringing.

Review: not a light and fluffy read - MC, Rylie, works in a Children’s Cancer Unit. Her love interest is Zach. Their relationship develops very slowly as the work Rylie does, and the kids, and her Christian faith are front and centre rather than the romance.

As usual this had everything that I've come to expect from a Nora Roverts novel. Meg is a pilot in Lunacy where Nate has just taken up the positiion of Police chief after moving from Baltimore where he watched his partner be gunned down. As they're feelings grow a danger is lurking when the body of Meg's estranged father is found. Before they get their HEA Nate and Meg need to uncover the killer's identity before he takes more lives.

Review:
This has been on my TBR for 6 years and for some reason I was under the impression that this was a young adult book. Boy was I wrong. Nella knocks on the door of a house in Amsterdam as the new wife of a wealthy merchant. This is a house full of secrets that Nella slowly discovers with the aid of the miniaturist, the elusive craftswoman who crafts the miniatures for the replica house that Nella's husband gifted her as a wedding present. This was quite a magical book with an underlying mystery that is never quite revealed. Looking forward to reading the second book in this series.

Review:
I've started this book without reading the reviews. Was a bad ideea. I was almost to abandon it, more that half of book was difficult to read (luckily I listened to it audiobook). I have mixed fellings with it. Loved the writing, the characters but... For me the life is cruel enough to read sad stories.

Not sure why this book was on this list but it was a solid historical romance. The dollar princess from NYC finds British aristocrats stuffy to say the least and the British Earl finds American heiresses to be too outspoken and irreverent. Somehow they end up being perfect for each other.

A book by Julia Quinn that was impossible for me not liking it. The chemistry between Hero and Heroine was awesome. I devoured the book and soon will the rest from this series.

Review: I really enjoyed spending my time with another Hathaway - this time Poppy finds her perfect match although it was a far from perfect beginning. Harry was a bad boy - afraid of love and commitment - Poppy won’t settle for anything less. Somehow they need to find their way to their happy ever after.

Review - This book has been on my TBR list for a while now and it has been so hyped up on BookTok, unfortunately it did not live up to the hype for me. One of my favorite parts of fantasy romance novels is the world building and descriptions of the mythical world. I was pretty underwhelmed by Holly Black's worldbuilding in this book. And while I also love an enemies-to-lovers trope, I did not appreciate it in this book. The enemies-to-lovers banter was more of a bully romance, which I do not enjoy. Overall was disappointed with this read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this return to the Thursday Murder club, a group of 70+ sharp witted residents of a retirement complex who “solve” cold case murders, and not so cold. This time involved the death of a spy and theft of diamonds. The escapades of this group of elderly sleuths are entertaining as they use logic and cunning to get to the truth.
