Why can't I add books anymore?

Hi, I was wondering why the policies of Goodreads changed and it's not possible anymore to add books ourselves. There are soooo many requests for book additions that just keep piling up while the librarians are unable to tend to all requests for weeks and months. Why is that and could this change again in future?
It's quite frustrating waiting forever for Godot while nothing happens.

Too many non-librarians were adding sub-standard book records, or books against policy.
