Should i continue the touch of darkness series

Stop ok help i read book one and loved it but the reducing good reviews from each book after is concerning so i was wondering if i should deny there are more books and pretend its a standalone orrrr read the rest

i really really loved the book 1 even after seeing the mixed reviews from goodreads. this resonated with my thoughts so i would say this, i'm currently reading the 2nd book rn and so far i am enjoying it just as much, and sometimes even better than the 1st book (but i'm still just a quarter through the story so take this w a pinch of salt!) wishing the best of luck for u x

I read the first two books so fast...I couldn't get enough. But when the third came out, I got bored and stopped reading it. It could've been because so much time had passed since I read the first two, but there were characters I didn't remember and the storyline didn't interest me.

So I totally understand contemplating going on with the series. I definitely felt validated in my dislike of the third book after reading the reviews on here. Maybe if I'm really bored I'll try it again in the future, but I really doubt it.
