oh well I got a copy of Babel. we can start with if Courtney is ok with it.

When the texts between him and the kid got a bit concerning. And the kid was hanging around some dubious people, I thought to myself he is going to die somehow and that will then create some sort of conflict...so wasn't surprised. But yes, I would have cared more if the kid would have been more present in the story. Yeah, she did accept the award cause she mentioned about her chronic pain in the speech from what I remember. Nishita, I think that they could have parted ways as well, or at least for a bit longer...aka a year or so later when they are both in a better space.
Babel has only just come out, so its a new release. I am waiting on my copy to arrive.
I dont mind violence and the likes, but that type of horror I think is a bit too much for me. I mean I read Blindness ages ago and I found that more disturbing than books I read about war and serial killers lol
Idk why but I enjoy books with gore or tragedy or the likes of it. so I'll be adding Blindness too on my list ig
Nishita, I agree! I also like books with gore and horror! every now and then it adds some balance to the constant romance novels I read haha. I do recommend Tender is the Flesh, but beware haha.. it definitely was a bit too much for me! I told my parents about it and they had to stop me and were like, "why are you reading this?!" Yes, ready to start Babel whenever :) since i don't have the audiobook I'm gonna be a bit slower lol
I do read books with gore, violence and that...but after I heard people talking about Tender is the flesh I decided it wasn't something I wanted to pick up for myself. I think Jose Saramago won the Nobel prize for literature too. There is a movie adaptation for Blindness with Julianne Moore from what I remember. Its a dystopian novel. I dont have my copy of Babel yet, its on its way from the UK lol, so it could take another week or so. But I'm keen to maybe start City of Brass in the next couple of days?

I am such an idiot! I've already read these 3 books last year! Hahaha I KNEW they sounded familiar! I knew my head was all over the place just not that bad! Lmao! You guys read them because they are so good! SOOO good! Especially the 2nd and 3rd ones!
