YAY! CHAPTERS! Through Ch. 10

Frankie (view spoiler)[has a passion for what she does. I was totally commiserating with her when hiking up to Devil's Canyon! Reminded me of hiking with my daughter and her girlfriend when we go on vacations to national forests! They could hop, skip, jump and sing while I stagger along trying to keep up and catch my breath. I find places to rest though! (hide spoiler)]

Scott (view spoiler)[I don't know why he'd have "forgotten" everything that happened to him. And Tim was so experienced it seems unusual that he'd go missing, but I know it does happen to hikers at times where natural disasters happen. His dad is something else! I do suspect foul play for Tim. (hide spoiler)]

Daisy is the one (view spoiler)[character I love so far! lol Dog-lover here! Those screams at the end of Ch. 9 (I think) were chilling! (hide spoiler)]

Devil's Canyon (view spoiler)[is the type of name that always makes a place sound eerie, scary, ominous! I am afraid to know what happens (or happened) there! (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I definitely started to suspect Scott after reading that he married Tim's fiancée. After Neil was attacked I suspected him even more until Neil admitted that they all lied about that night and now it seems like they're all suspect so I don't know what to think. But too much has happened (like the food) for it not to be one of them. But I'm not a very good detective. At least I knew something was off about that night so I got that part right. lol I don't think Tim is still alive. I can't believe that his dad (Martin) guilts them to go looking for Tim's remains every year. (hide spoiler)]

I had to stop here and comment! (view spoiler)[I can't believe that Martin was killed and it looks like we have a serial killer lurking in Devil's Canyon! I just can't decide who I think it might be but I don't want it to be some random killer who's not been a character in the book. I hope that Daisy is okay and the others who've gone MIA. I kept thinking about Nemeth. He knows the national forest better than anyone, I would think and he is always so rude to Frankie, but I can't figure out a reason for it to be him. hmmm (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I love this one and thought it was so well done! It was full of suspense and things I wasn't expecting. I am so glad that Daisy and Luciana are all right! When they said it was "tree man" I was like, "No, not a weird killer!" lol So I am glad that it ended up being a real person! lol Nemeth makes perfect sense to me too after reading the connection with Marge and her sister, etc. Love this one! (view spoiler)[ Okay, so without knowing more, I'm instantly sketch about Tim. Why did he disappear? I'm wondering if he did it on purpose and somehow set Scott up to go stumbling out in the woods as a distraction

I just don't know enough about his life to know if this would be something he'd want to do

I feel bad for his friends, going out there year after year. Their guilt must be awful. I wonder if his dad is a tough person. he seems instense but it's hard to know if he's the same after as he was before

I like the leader of their hiking trek. He seems well versed
and Bob is adorable!

but if they maybe found parts of his windbreaker in that rock area, does that mean they fought but maybe didn't hurt him or push him out?

I'm actually wondering about Luciana. She's the only one that keeps having no one watching her because of the dog

but I also wonder about the $5K. Why did he pay Bob and what did he pay him for? I don't think it's the dad. . .and I want to believe it's not Bob. . .but there are only a few that are completely unwatched - the ones leading the walk (the 2 plus bob) but really it's the one with the dog (hide spoiler)]

but I definitely feel like they are spoon feeding Josh to us. I can't imagine his drinking was all an act but he's also been secretive

I'm also glad that so many of them survived. what an awful experience, something I can't even imagine! I love hiking and we've backpacked a few times but yikes, we were never that far from EVERYTHING! (hide spoiler)]
